Registrations for the Tennis Instructor, Club Pro 1, Club Pro 2 and Club Pro 3 courses are handled by the OTA. Registrations for the Coach 2 and Coach 3 courses are handled by Tennis Canada. Tennis Instructor courses are 2 weekends (candidates MUST attend both weekends of the course) (with the exception of 1. above where course hours are 8 or 9 am to 4 or 5 pm each of the days)

Regular Times: Fridays: 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm, Saturdays/Sundays 9 am - 5 pm

*Cost = $525, (minimum age is turning 16 years of age or older in 2013 to enroll, candidates need to have a play level of at least a 3.0)

Certification is comprised of demonstration, leadership, teaching, knowledge and Making Ethical Decisions evals
-
Workbooks A and B (part of the knowledge eval) must be completed and handed in on the first day/night of the course (they could take 6-10 hours to complete)

Candidates must be at least 17 years old, have a play level of 4.0 or higher and have Tennis Instructor Certification

Orientation course hours are from 6 pm – 10 pm; all other course days run from either 8 am – 4 pm or from 9 am – 5 pm!

Cost = TBA and candidate must join TPA!

CLUB PRO 2 COURSE/DATES LOCATIONS |
|
1. April 15, 16, 19, May 3, 28, 30, 31, Mayfair East/Rexall/ORC |

Candidates must be fully certified as Club Pro 1, at least 18 years old, have a play level of at least a 5.0 and have at least 2 years of full-time teaching experience

Cost $719 for TPA members ($850 for non-TPA members)

All costs for all courses INCLUDE access to course manuals, the HST, and testing fees

Cost for the Tennis Instructor course also includes membership to Tennis Canada's Tennis Professionals Association (TPA) through to the end of 2013 (and all of the benefits of this membership, including the insurance)

TPA benefits become active once the candidate successfully completes the course and registers for TPA membership
